PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a more correct prediction of a travel resistance and thereby to prevent deterioration in fuel consumption.SOLUTION: A coasting travel prediction part 12c of an automatic travel control device 12 for performing a travel control of a vehicle on the basis of a resistance coefficient predicts on the basis of the resistance coefficient a change in the vehicle speed when the vehicle performs a coasting travel. And a vehicle information acquisition part 12b acquires information on the vehicle speed detected when the vehicle has performed the coasting travel. Then, a travel resistance update part 12f updates the resistance coefficient value on the basis of information on the change in the vehicle speed predicted by the coasting travel prediction part 12c and information on the vehicle speed acquired by the vehicle information acquisition part 12b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
