PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless motor that is able to reduce cogging torque without causing magnetic saturation of the salient pole of a stator core.SOLUTION: The pole teeth part 9 of a salient pole 8 has a pair of notches 13, each of which is formed in such a manner that an arcuate peripheral face opposite a magnet 5 is notched at a depth t in a radial direction on both circumferential sides of the central position and in a direction substantially orthogonal to the center line of the salient pole 8. By forming the notches 13, a projecting part 12 having an arcuate part at the leading end is formed in the circumferential central position of the pole teeth part 9. The radial depth t of each of the notches 13 is identical to at least a gap length g between the magnet 5 and the arcuate part 12a of the projecting part 12. The angle range of the projecting part 12 as viewed from the rotation center O of the rotor 3 is set to the range from 10.5 degrees to 12 degrees. |
