PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and efficiently replace an excavation member of a tunnel excavator.SOLUTION: When a roller bit 4 of a TBM body 1 is replaced, the TBM body 1 is fixed by a slippage-proof jack 16 and then a support member for a rear barrel gripper 15 in the TBM body 1, a removed earth pipe 6, and a hopper 5 are removed. A transport rail 20 is laid in the TBM body 1, and a carriage truck 21 introduced onto the transport rail 20 is moved by a manual winch 22 fitted to a partition wall on a rear surface side of a cutter head 2 so as to achieve replacement between new and old roller bits 4. Consequently, a tunnel H is inclined upward, so even if scaffolding in the TBM body 1 is unstable, the roller bit 4 can be easily replaced even in a narrow work area in the TBM body 1 resulting from a small diameter of the tunnel H. |
