<p>The invention can be used for steady rests of cylindrical grinder for centerless machining, for example bearing race-ways or ring beads. The inventive grinder steady rest is embodied in the form of a post (1) on which a lower (11) and multi-stage self-adjusting correction supports are mounted, wherein said multi-stage self-adjusting correction support comprises supporting bearing shoes (2) and balance arms (3, 4) disposed at specified angles, consists of elements which are symmetrical with respect to pivoting axes and is embodied in such a way that it is asymmetrical with respect to the last stage axis. The pre-set angles of at least one stage of the element differ from the pre-set angles of the other elements thereof. Said invention makes it possible to extend the range of diameters of processable parts and the range of suppressed harmonic components of the out-of-roundness of the profile of a part.</p> |
