<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candy composition using as the main raw material sugar alcohol having sweetness and sweet quality equal to those of sugar, and to provide a candy using the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This candy composition excellent in sweet taste has sugar alcohol as the main raw material and sweetener components (E) with high sweetness. Flavor component is chosen from (A) maltol, (B) furaneol, (C) cycloten and (D) menthyl acetate.
