<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation structure of electric apparatus capable of improving withstand voltage and a switchgear therewith. <P>SOLUTION: This insulation structure of electric apparatus for housing a switching device and its main circuit conductor or the like in a ground metal case, such as switchgear, is formed with conductors building a local high electric field, for example, insulating layers 18, 19 on the surface of electrodes 14, 16, between the electrodes of the switching device, between the main circuit conductors, or between counter conductors between the main circuit conductor and the ground metal case.
