PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtight assembly inserted between two relatively rotating members. SOLUTION: The sealing assembly includes: a sealing member made of an elastomeric material and PTFE; a supporting frame embedded in the elastomer material; and an annular L-shaped protecting part cooperating with the airtight member. The supporting frame has a sleeve part and a radial flange part. The flange part extends toward the axis of symmetry of the sleeve part and partly supports a radial part of the airtight member. The radial part supports a sleeve made of PTFE with a free end. The sleeve has a cylindrical first end protruding in the axial direction and a conical second end protruding in the axial direction by a larger amount than the first end on the opposite side of the first end to form radial airtight lips, and is disposed asymmetrically with respect to the supporting frame.
