<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of reducing unnaturalness of an output image caused by moving objects on a plurality of images in the case of generating the output image by using the plural images. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus disclosed herein detects a positional relationship among a plurality of the input images and obtains pixel values of pixels of the output image by using pixel values of the pixels of the input images and an interpolation function changed with positions of the pixels of the input images after position matching on the basis of the positional relationship. In this case, whether or not the pixels of the output image are moving pixels being pixels in a region displayed with moving objects is discriminated in a step S103, and a high pass characteristic of the interpolation function is adjusted on the basis of whether or not the pixels of the output image are moving pixels in a step S104.
