PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine for properly preventing the occurrence of knocking while suppressing torque fluctuation. SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with a knocking detection means 54 for detecting the occurrence of knocking, an ignition timing retarding means for retarding ignition timing when the occurrence of knocking is detected by the knocking detection means 54, and an ozone supply means 44 for performing supply of ozone so as to supply the ozone into a cylinder 20 when the ignition timing is retarded by the ignition timing retarding means.
