<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projector that prevents a burn-in phenomenon in the liquid crystal projector of ferroelectric liquid crystal without sacrificing the brightness of a projected image and displays a stereoscopic vision. <P>SOLUTION: In order to prevent the burn-in phenomenon, the projector converts a negative image, which is not displayed in the prior art, into a positive image for display, by switching the polarization direction of linearly polarized light that irradiates the liquid crystal display device in synchronism with the alternate reversal of the polarity of a liquid crystal display device. Also, the projector inputs video signals for left and right eyes in consideration of binocular parallax and produces an image for left eye with one liquid crystal display device and an image for right eye with the other liquid crystal display device, thus the images are projected on a screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
