<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by determining the possibility of any collision in consideration of the motion of a moving body around one's own vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When there is no temporal change in the angle of the horizontal direction of a moving body with respect to one's own vehicle is present, and it is determined from the relative speed of the moving body to the own vehicle that the moving body is approaching the own vehicle, it is determined that the possibility of any collision is present (S6), and it is determined whether or not the own vehicle is making a left/right turn in an intersection (S8). When making a left/right turn, or when the absolute speed of the moving body exceeds the speed of the own vehicle even if the vehicle is not making any left/right turn, the execution of the control of collision avoidance is instructed determining the moving body as an object having a specially high risk (S9). When not making a left/right turn, and when the absolute speed of the moving body is equal to or lower than the speed of the own vehicle, the execution of the control of collision avoidance is instructed determining the moving body as an object having a normal risk (S11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
