PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic composition which can well suppress the olfactorily complicated reaction smells (residual smells) of contents during and after the treatment of an alkali agent-containing hair cosmetic.

SOLUTION: Provided is the hair cosmetic composition comprising (A) one or more≥12C fatty acids, (B) one or more oily components selected from waxes, hydrocarbons and esters and having an octanol/water distribution coefficient (log Kow) of≥10, (D) one or more alkali agents, and (C1) a perfume comprising one or more perfume compounds represented by chemical formula 1 or (C2) a perfume comprising one or more perfume compounds represented by chemical formula 2.
