<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless device facilitating optimization of the orientation of an antenna in accordance with each of a plurality of installable forms; a wireless LAN router device; and its antenna orientation setting method. <P>SOLUTION: An installation form of this wireless device or this wireless LAN router device is detected through an installation angle with respect to a connection condition of a stand or the vertical direction. An optimum antenna orientation corresponding to the detected installation form is previously stored, and the antenna is set in that direction.
