摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image characteristic measurement device able to correctly measure the color of an image formed by an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image characteristic measuring device comprises: first light emitting means 101 for emitting light to a predetermined area of an image on an image carrier that is a measurement object; first imaging means 103 for condensing light reflected from the measurement object to which light has been emitted; area splitting means 104 installed in the position where an imaging relation is substantially established with the measurement object and used for splitting an area by an aperture line; second imaging means 105 for condensing reflected light whose area has been split; spectroscopic means 106 for subjecting area-split light passed through the aperture line to spectroscopic operation so that diffraction images do not overlap; array state light-receiving means 107 for receiving area-split light from each aperture; second light emitting means 111 for emitting light between the aperture line and the second imaging means from above; and reflecting means for reflecting light from the second light emitting means toward the aperture line.
