The present invention relates to a frame segment (12) for a combustor turbine interface with a frame-type container (17) to receive a rear end of a combustor variation element (24) in an axial direction. The frame segment includes an I-beam. The I-beam includes: an upper horizontal element (20), a lower horizontal element (21), and a vertical web (22). The upper horizontal element (20) includes a mounting surface to be fixated to a vein carrier (16). The vertical web (22) includes the underside (27) facing a first stage of a turbine when being installed in the gas turbine (9). In addition, the vertical web includes a cooling gas duct to supply a cooling gas to the underside (27) of the vertical web.
