PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable measurement of neutron flux even when a neutron flux level is relatively low by suppressing an effect of a background component.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a neutron measurement apparatus 100 includes; a neutron detector 1; a pre-amplifier 2; an AC amplifier 3 configured to extract and amplify an AC component of an output of the pre-amplifier 2; a bandwidth limiter 4 configured to produce a signal within a predetermined frequency range from an output of the AC amplifier 3; a neutron signal period computation unit 11 configured to derive a neutron signal period, defined as a time period in which a significant signal is present, from an AC component of a neutron detection signal; and a mean square value computation unit 6 configured to compute a mean square value of the output of the bandwidth limiter 4 for a period corresponding to the neutron signal period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
