The present invention provides an apparatus to open and close a refrigerator door by using a small low-power motor. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a door hinged to a main unit having a storage room; a gasket placed between the door and the main unit to seal a gap between the door and the main unit; and an opening and closing unit to open and close the door in the main unit. The opening and closing unit comprises: an operation unit to generate operation power; a gasket separation device receiving rotating force of the operation unit to push the main unit and separate the gasket from the main unit or the door; and a door rotating device receiving the rotating force of the operation unit to rotate the door. The gasket separation device is installed to be separated from a hinge shaft of the hinge unit at a specific interval.
