The present invention provides a guidewire which is excellent in steerability such that the guidewire is capable of efficiently reaching a target spot, and enables tunneling surgical procedure by increasing stiffness of the guidewire during treatment of lesions. More specifically, the present invention provides a guidewire system which enables a magnetic field applied from the outside to perform a steering operation, and is capable of maintaining stiffness of the guide wire at the target spot. Further, the present invention provides a system which performs monitoring in real time during surgical procedure using a guidewire, and is capable of easily entering the guidewire to a surgical procedure region without damaging the blood vessel walls. In a tunneling guidewire, a guidewire (10) according to the present invention includes: a guidewire body (101) in which a hollow slot is formed; a stopper part (103) which is housed in the slot such that the stopper part is movable forward and backward; a wire (105) which includes members with different flexibilities and is connected to an end portion of the stopper part. A guidewire according to the present invention has a merit that it is capable of adjusting ductility for steering and stiffness for tunneling of the guidewire by leading in or drawing out a distal part (1051) of the wire having relatively high flexibility from the body of the guidewire according to movements of the stopper part in the slot. |
