PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator in which a predetermined gas can easily be generated.SOLUTION: A disclosed gas generator 100 comprises a tank 110 in which an aqueous liquid 10 is to be placed, a separator 130, and a first electrode 121 and a second electrode 122. Within the tank 110, the second electrode 122, at least a portion of the separator 130, and the first electrode 121 are placed from below the tank 110 in this order.
