PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding apparatus capable of detecting damage of a protective cover with a high degree of accuracy.SOLUTION: A laser welding apparatus 10 includes a laser oscillator 11 for outputting a laser beam 20 to a base metal 1, a laser head 12 for irradiating a bevel 9 with the laser beam 20, and control means 14 for controlling them 11, 12. The laser head 12 has a condenser lens 25 and a protective cover 26, and an imaging part 27 for imaging the base metal 1 by adjusting the focus thereon. The control means 14 detects damage of the protective cover 26 from an image imaged by the imaging part 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
