PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dissipation of alignment in an alignment film by the displacement of a spacer caused by vibration transmitted to a liquid crystal display panel via a backlight device.SOLUTION: An LCD includes: a liquid crystal display panel including a first substrate 1, a second substrate 2 holding a liquid crystal and a spacer together with the first substrate 1 in a space therebetween, and a sealing material 3 comprising an epoxy resin, a silicone resin, a synthetic rubber or the like, constituting a liquid crystal cell by adhering and sealing peripheral edges of liquid crystal side surfaces of the first and second substrates 1, 2; and a backlight device 7 disposed to be in contact with an opposite surface of the first substrate 1 to the liquid crystal side. The backlight device 7 has a contact part 7a to be in contact with the opposite surface of the first substrate, the contact part as a whole inside the sealing material 3. The liquid crystal display panel includes a dummy sealing member 10 disposed in a portion between the contact part 7a and the sealing material 3 in the liquid crystal cell in a plan view.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
