PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method with which a polarizer can be easily manufactured, which includes an unpolarized light part that can achieve multi-functionality and high-functionality of an electronic device such as an image display apparatus, and the unpolarized light part can be accurately manufactured in a desired shape.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a polarizer of the present invention includes, while a resin film 10 including a dichroic substance is covered by a surface protective film 50 so that at least part of the resin film is exposed, bringing a basic solution into contact with the exposed part 51. The exposed part is subjected to surface modification treatment through the contact. The contact angle between the exposed part and the basic solution is 50 degrees or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
