PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that can improve a packing property of particles in a narrow particle size distribution and maintain high image quality for a long period, while maintaining transferability and high image quality in a narrow particle size distribution of an injection granulation toner.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner containing at least a mold release agent, wherein when WDa is the number average particle diameter of the mold release agent present in a depth area Aa from the surface of the toner to a depth of 1/4 of the diameter d of the toner (1/4d), the number average particle diameter detected from a transmission electron microscope (TEM) photograph of a torn surface of the toner, and WDb is the number average particle diameter of the mold release agent present in an area Ab deeper inside of Aa, the relationship between WDa and WDb is WDa<WDb, and the ratio of the number of particles smaller than the most frequent particle diameter to the total number of particles of the toner is 13% to 30%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
