<p>A vibration attenuated power drill (2) is disclosed. The drill comprises a housing (4) incorporating a motor (S) for driving an output shaft (8) . A drill bit is driven by the output shaft by means of cooperating ratchet plates contained in a gearbox (10) . The motor has a stator (24) and a rotor (26) , and the drill is provided with vibration attenuating means comprising compression springs (42, 48) attenuating vibrations transmitted from the motor to the housing in planes perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotor relative to the stator.</p> |
