PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which improves image distortion in a peripheral exposure region and ensures excellent blurring resistance and color running resistance of characters and an image. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, a reflection viewing type silver halide color photosensitive material is exposed using a digital image exposure device, wherein a pixel ratio (major side/minor side) of pixels to a region 10 cm away from the exposure center in the digital image exposure device is 1.00-1.03.
