<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device which updates a program executed by an internal CPU, without providing a special data transfer means between the device and the outside. <P>SOLUTION: Program data to be executed by a CPU 5 is stored in a non-volatile memory 7. When the program data are updated, program data converted to a video signal format is inputted from a video signal input terminal. A program extraction circuit 11 detects a start position and an end position of program data from a prescribed bit pattern included in a digital signal outputted from an A/D conversion circuit 1 and extracts program data from the digital signal to restore them to an original data format and updates the program data stored in the non-volatile memory 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
