PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decreasing the emanation of the by-product into the air in the last stage of the coke oven dry-distillation. SOLUTION: When the by-product generated from the coke oven associated with coal dry distillation is burnt in the atmosphere, the oxygen-including gas 10 is introduced from the one rising pipe 3' arranged on both ends of the upper parts of the coke carbonization chamber of the coke oven and the by-product is burnt and released from the other rising pipe 3 into the atmosphere. In particular, the oxygen-including gas 10 is introduced from the one rising pipe 3' in the last step of the dry distillation, while the by-product is collected from the other pipe 3 into the gas collecting pipe 4 and the gas is introduced into the dispersion pipe 10', and burnt and released into the atmosphere.
