摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamellar substance whose main component is a semiconductor element and whose thickness is at the level of several numbers of atoms or less, which can be controlled to be p-type or n-type as well as a genuine semiconductor with the same atom structure, and can be a metal as well. SOLUTION: The lamellar substance has the crystal structure in which a unit layer is periodically repeated in two dimensional direction. The unit layer consists of two layers of an atom network of graphite-like hexagonal lattice of element A, and a layer in which an element T is so arranged that the projection position on the two layers is at the center of the hexagonal lattice, in the middle of the two layers.
