<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to wash a fuel cell in a short time and simply without disassembling the fuel cell, to recover the original performance, to facilitate maintenance of the fuel cell, to shorten the duration of the interruption of power supply due to maintenance of the fuel cell, and to reduce cost required for maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: A fluid 9 for washing is injected into a stack 18 of the fuel cell 16 to make it flow through a separator 44, a hydrogen electrode or air electrode, and each part of an electrode membrane by discharging it outside. Impurities which are adhered to each part in the stack 18 are removed and washing is made, and moreover, dry gas is similarly injected into the stack, and drying of each part is carried out, and furthermore, this is constituted that the power generating test can be carried out also. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
