PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a switching power supply circuit.SOLUTION: An embodiment of a switching power supply circuit includes a power switch circuit, a comparator circuit, an oscillator circuit, and an operation control circuit. The power switch circuit generates an output voltage, having a level different from an input signal, using a clock signal. The comparator circuit performs intermittent operation according to an operation control signal, and compares a feedback signal based on an output signal and a reference signal and generates a comparison result signal, in its operation period. The oscillator circuit generates a clock signal by oscillating at a predetermined frequency if the comparison result signal is at a first level. The operation control signal generates an operation control signal based on the clock signal and the comparison result signal. The operation control signal generates an operation control signal synchronized with the clock signal if the comparison result signal is at the first level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
