The invention relates to a system where the electronic properties of the graphene can be modified in a controlled manner. In said system, the graphene is chemically functionalised with alkylic molecules that covalently bond to the graphene carbon atoms. The degree of covering of the layer of the graphene of the present invention allows the regulation of the opening of the forbidden energy band in the energy band diagram of the graphene.
