PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently increase temperature of a catalyst while suppressing a consumption of fuel.SOLUTION: An engine control system 20 for a diesel engine 10 having a catalyst 15 for cleaning an exhaust gas includes: an exhaust-gas temperature acquisition part 23 for acquiring temperature of an exhaust-gas; a catalyst temperature acquisition part 24 for acquiring temperature of the catalyst 15; and a control part 21 for controlling a number of revolution of the diesel engine 10. The control part 21 increases an idle speed of the diesel engine 10 when the temperature of the exhaust-gas is higher than the temperature of the catalyst 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
