PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating performance to be obtained when an existing program is run on a different processor.SOLUTION: A performance estimation apparatus 100 includes a performance information acquisition unit 120, a performance estimation unit 125, and a storage unit 130. An execution unit 122 of the performance information acquisition unit executes a program 131 in a CPU, to acquire performance information. An information acquisition unit 123 acquires total execution time of the program in the acquired performance information and the number of executions of commands, to be stored in the storage unit as performance information 135. An accelerator performance calculation unit 126 of the performance estimation unit refers to timing information 133 and the performance information 135, to determine the sum of product of the time required for an accelerator to execute a command and the number of executions of the command, and estimates execution time in executing the program, on the basis of the determined value, to store a performance estimation result 137 in the storage unit. A calculation result output unit 127 outputs the performance estimation result to be displayed on a display device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
