PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display that improves an opening ratio, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display comprises: a substrate; a thin-film transistor that is located on the substrate; a pixel electrode that is connected to the thin-film transistor; a roof layer 360 that is overlapped with the pixel electrode; and a liquid crystal layer that includes liquid crystal molecules located in a plurality of spaces between the pixel electrode and the roof layer 360. The roof layer 360 includes partition walls that are located along a direction where a gate line connected to the thin-film transistor extends and define the spaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
