<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch whether to store compressed data or picture data before compressing to optimally decide whether to compress data in accordance with the compressibility and compress the picture data depending on the result. SOLUTION: A picture bus I/F controller 2041 is connected with a picture has 2008 to control its bus access sequence, timing control for communicating data between with an input buffer 2042 and an output buffer 2045 and mode setting to a picture compressing part 2043. First of all, when inputted data are stored in the buffer 2042 to be a compressing unit, the data are compressed. Then, compressibility is obtained from the inputted data quantity and a data quantity after compression. The compressed data are sent to the bus 2008 when the obtained compressibility is larger than a threshold value and data before compression are sent to the bus 2008 when is smaller. Thus, data are outputted to a destination designated by an address.</p> |
