摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond polycrystalline substance which includes boron and has excellent resistance to oxidation, and whose mechanical strength is excellent and mechanical wear is hardly produced, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The diamond polycrystalline substance and the method for producing the same are characterized in that the content of diamond particles with an average particle diameter of 0.08-80 &mu;m is 80-99 volume% to the total of the diamond particles and the matrix, 60-95 volume% of the diamond particles is a region of boron concentration of 3 ppm or less, and the matrix includes an iron group element or a carbide of an iron group element as the main constituent and a prescribed amount of CBN and WCoB<SB POS="POST">6</SB>and/or B<SB POS="POST">4</SB>C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
