PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale deposition preventive agent for polymerization reactors which does not discolor polymers even when it is peeled off the reactor to contaminate the polymers, and which does not deteriorate work environment even during the work for coating it on the polymerization reactor. SOLUTION: The scale deposition preventive agent for polymerization reactors comprises a condensation product of a naphthol compound and aldehydes having a weight average molecular weight in the range of 500-100,000 and an ascorbic acid compound.
