<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide type fuel cell to be rapidly started; and also to provide its operation method. <P>SOLUTION: This solid oxide type fuel cell is so structured that a fuel cell assembly 1 is composed by collecting a plurality of power generation cells 5 and housed in a housing 20, and a power generation reaction is generated by supplying a reformed gas into the fuel cell assembly 1 in operation.
