PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system capable of outputting a loud sound with small energy. SOLUTION: The speaker system using a flat vibration panel (12) is provided with driving means (16A, 16B), which are supplied with electrical signals of a sound and transduce the electrical signals into mechanical vibrations in a first direction, and the vibration panel (12) which is curved at a specified angle as a whole. Then the speaker system is provided with a driving means (16), at least at one side (13) of the vibration panel, so that the mechanical vibrations are transmitted from the one side in a surface direction along the first direction. In a preferred embodiment, the vibration panel is constituted of a solar battery panel, and the speaker system that does not require power source. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
