PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of reducing the vibration and noise of an outer casing without increasing the dimensions of the outer casing. SOLUTION: A water tub 4 is disposed inside the outer casing 1, and a drum 3 is rotatably disposed inside the water tub 4. An outer opening 15 on the front face 121 of the outer casing 1 and an inner opening 41 at the front end of the water tub 4 are disposed separately from each other. The water tub 4 is supported by a suspension 6 with the rotating shaft of the drum 3 inclined at a prescribed angle of inclination. The lower side of the peripheral face and around the front end of the water tub 4 is energized by a front coil spring 7 toward the bottom 11 side of the outer casing 1, and the lower end of the rear of the water tub 4 is energized by a rear coil spring 8 toward the back 124 side of the outer casing 1. The upper part of the water tub 4 is energized by an upper coil spring 9 toward the front face side 121 of the water tub 1. The applied loads including the drum 3, the water tub 4 and a motor 5 are supported by the suspension 6 and the front coil spring 7, while loads are not supported by the rear coil spring 8 or the upper coil spring 9. Accordingly, the vibration transmitted from the water tub 4 to the outer casing 1 via the rear coil spring 8 and the upper coil spring 9 is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
