PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus which easily deals with various communication systems and is good in heat radiation and vibration resistance. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus comprises an approximately box-like case, a data communication unit 500 housed in the case for connecting with a radio packet communication network, and a circuit board having a circuit for mutually connecting a data terminal and the data communication unit 500 mounted on this board. The circuit board comprises a main circuit board 300 including a first interface circuit for connecting with the data terminal, and a circuit for mediating the communication between the data terminal and the data communication apparatus; and an auxiliary circuit board 400 including a second interface circuit for connecting the data communication unit 500 with the main circuit board 300.
