PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high-definition image or the like in high image quality, by supplying high-frequency image signals to cathode structures without causing them to degrade. SOLUTION: In an electron gun, a support member 30 of an integrated structure formed of an insulation material holds first to third cathode structures 20R, 20G and 20B, arranged sequentially on a straight line. At least one through-hole is formed, at least in either of a region between the first cathode structure and the second cathode structure of the support member, and a region between the second cathode structure and the third cathode structure of the support member. As a result, the capacitance generated between the cathode structures adjacent to each other can be reduced, whereby high-frequency image signals can be supplied to the cathode structures without causing them to degrade.
