Peelable polyester film based on titanium catalysed polyesters

Biaxially oriented polyester film comprises a base layer and a heat-sealable and peelable covering layer, both comprising titanium-catalyzed polyesters with a titanium content of 1-500 ppm. The covering layer comprises a polyester with both aromatic and aliphatic dicarboxylic acid units. An independent claim is also included for producing a polyester film as above by producing a multilayer film by coextrusion, stretching the film longitudinally and transversely and thermofixing the film, where an antifog coating is applied before longitudinal stretching or after longitudinal but before transverse stretching.
