<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an anisotropic light-diffusing film capable of obtaining the anisotropic light-diffusing film having a wide incident angle area of diffused light while having incident angle dependency excellent in light transmission and light diffusion, and further to provide the anisotropic light-diffusing film obtained by photo-curing the composition therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A composition for an anisotropic light-diffusing film or the like contains a biphenyl compound represented by a general formula (1) as an ingredient (A) and a polymerizable compound having a weight average molecular weight within 3,000 through 20,000 as an ingredient (B).
