<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage cell preventing formation of a needless portion to a strap by making a pouring mark which is formed when casting the strap contribute to current collection. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lead storage cell includes an electrode plate group 11 by connecting respective ear sections of a plurality of electrode plates of the same polarity using a cast on strap. In this case, the strap 15 includes a strap body 15a for connecting the respective ear sections of a plurality of electrode plates and an electrode pole section 15b formed integrally to one end in the long direction of the strap body 15a. Furthermore, the pouring mark 15c which is formed when the strap 15 is cast is formed in a position facing the electrode pole section 15b on the other end in the long direction of the strap body 15a so that the pouring mark 15c is formed as one section of a portion which carries out a current collecting function in the strap body 15a.
