SUPERCONDUCTING CABLE CORE

PURPOSE: A superconductive cable core is provided to obtain stable bypass induction and prevent conduction resistance against fault current. CONSTITUTION: A conductive layer superconducting wire(16) is welded covering the exterior of a copper former(12). A sleeve member(42), comprising upper and lower split segments(44a,44b), a coupling hole, and a coupler, protects an end of an insulating layer. A shield layer superconducting wire(20) is welded covering the sleeve member A copper tape(24) is welded covering the exterior of the shield layer superconducting wire.
