PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation method of a sub-pixel unit pixel in motion compensation.SOLUTION: A motion compensation method includes: a step of determining a luma reference block in a luma reference picture for predicting a present block by using a luma motion vector of the present block; a step of generating a luma sample of a pixel position of 1/4 or a pixel position of 3/4 included in the luma reference block by applying a 7-tap filter to a sample of an integer pixel position of the luma reference picture; a step of determining a chroma reference block in a chroma reference picture for predicting the present block by using a chroma motion vector of the present block; and a step of generating a chroma sample of a pixel position of 1/8 or a pixel position of 4/8 included in the chroma reference block by applying a 4-tap filter to the sample of the integer pixel position in the chroma reference picture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
