PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bind, or bind with a slating staple, a sheet bundle with the staple being parallel to the edge of the sheet bundle, selectively and in the same region.SOLUTION: A sheet bundle binding device includes a moving body 32 capable of moving along the edge of a sheet bundle, a stapler 31 which is provided at the moving body for rotational movement, for binding the sheet bundle with a staple, and a direction changing mechanism 34 which is provided between a frame and the stapler for changing direction of the stapler that is moved by the moving body. The stapler can bind the sheet bundle with the staple being parallel to an edge PWa of a sheet bundle PW, or with the slating staple, selectively, in the same region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
