An autonomous driving device configured to perform autonomous driving of a vehicle, and to switch a driving state from the autonomous driving in progress to manual driving in a case where a first value corresponding to a steering operation by a driver during the autonomous driving is equal to or greater than a first threshold value, the device comprising:
an acquisition unit configured to acquire a value corresponding to the steering operation during the autonomous driving; and a control unit configured to perform the autonomous driving and to control the switching of the driving state between the autonomous driving and the manual driving, wherein, in a case where the first value corresponding to the steering operation acquired by the acquisition unit is equal to or greater than the first threshold value and a second value corresponding to the steering operation acquired by the acquisition unit before the driving state is switched from the autonomous driving in progress to the manual driving is equal to or greater than a second threshold value, the control unit decelerates the vehicle and switches the driving state from the autonomous driving in progress to the manual driving.
