<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine, which recovers a reduced pressure maintaining valve mechanism from deteriorated performance of maintaining reduced pressure. <P>SOLUTION: Function recovery control for increasing the flow rate a fuel flowing through a depressurization hole 29 of a reduced pressure maintaining valve 30 by controlling a fuel discharge flow rate of a high-pressure pump 14 so that the fuel pressure in a high-pressure fuel passage is temporarily increased to target fuel pressure for function recovery control which is set higher than normal target fuel pressure, is executed when a predetermined function recovery control execution condition is established. In this case, the function recovery control is executed at least when a predetermined period elapses after previous function recovery control execution or any of cumulative traveling distance, cumulative operation time, cumulative fuel consumption and the number of operations exceeds a predetermined value, and when a predetermined operating condition where emission or drivability is not degraded even when the function recovery control is executed (for instance, during fuel injection cut) is established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
